 My Journey
How do I begin to explain
this journey I began
my darling little girl
I miss you so,
How to make you understand
How to let you know
Why your mommy had to go
I know it hurt you when I didn't call
I felt it was better to say nothing at all
you know once im strong i will come for you
just never forget how much i love you
It was so hard for me to say good-bye
for I couldn't get the words out
all I could do was cry
But as I rode the bus that night
I saw your eyes in the starlight
I made a wish on a falling star
to have God protect you where ever you are
you are my angle my sweet little girl
I love more than anything in this world
that is why I had to go, to make a new start
but I wanted you to know
even though I am not there
you can see me each time you look in the mirror
for I am you and you are me
we are connected in our hearts
more than any two could be
be happy my child and follow your dreams
stay positive and strong, as hard as it seems
for I love you with all my heart
and soon we will not be apart.
